I'm Elena Dumitrescu

My journey in photography began in 2017, born from a deep passion for newborn and maternity photography. The road to building a successful business was anything but easy—filled with sacrifices, setbacks, and moments of doubt. Yet, with unwavering determination, I kept my focus on one goal: to become one of the leading newborn and maternity photographers in the industry and a mentor that my students would be proud of.

Countless hours in the studio, experimenting with equipment, settings, and lighting. Money spent on props that weren’t quite right. Trial and error, frustration and breakthroughs—all in pursuit of finding my own unique style. Through perseverance and relentless dedication, I finally built not just a thriving business, but also the freedom to spend meaningful time with my family—the greatest success of all.

I decided to create Elena Dumitrescu Academy because photographers from around the world wished to learn the art of newborn and maternity photography from me. Their passion, their curiosity, and their trust became the inspiration behind this academy—a place where knowledge flows, creativity thrives, and the delicate beauty of new life is forever preserved through art.

Now, my purpose is to help other photographers achieve their dreams, create a powerful brand, and find success without the struggle I once faced.
